Black Twig Climbs in National Ranking
St. Louis-based communications firm moves up 13 spots

ST. LOUIS (May 12, 2010) – Despite the economic pressures on the advertising and public relations industry, Black Twig Communications, a full service public relations, marketing, web development and creative services firm, climbed the charts of PR Week’s annual rankings. The 2010 PR Week Agency Business Report ranked Black Twig Communications 45th out of 139 privately held agencies in the country. Last year, the agency ranked 58th.

"The reason for our success is that we have developed a marketing mix of interesting news stories highlighting the unique strengths of our clients with social media to effectively reach our clients’ target prospects," said Tom Geiser, managing partner of Black Twig. "When times are challenging like these, business owners seek out novel and affordable ways to grow their business. At Black Twig we have coupled hard work with imaginative and innovative ways to reach the marketplace. Great marketing can be done without an excessive budget and our clients are experiencing that everyday."

Black Twig’s growth in 2009 can be attributed to new account contracts with Ardent Outdoors, Astor & Black Custom Clothiers, Med Sled and Learn 360, a division of AIM Education. This year has also been successful as Black Twig recently won contracts with MERS/Goodwill and Super Stud.

With offices in St. Louis and New York, Black Twig employs 33 professionals specializing in public relations, marketing, graphic design and interactive services.
